Effective Date: August 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and 3DPHW governing your access to and use of STLFileManager.com, the STL File Manager Windows application, official installer downloads, update and verification services, contact and support features, and related services operated by 3DPHW (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using any part of the Services, downloading or installing STL File Manager, or submitting information through the website, you agree to these Terms and the applicable Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services or install STL File Manager.
Additional terms may apply to separately purchased or licensed products, including the Printable Tool Set. If additional terms conflict with these Terms concerning that specific product, the product-specific terms control.
2. About 3DPHW and the Services
3DPHW is the developer and publisher of STL File Manager and the Printable Tool Set.
STL File Manager is a Windows application designed to help users browse supported files, preview STL models, manage access to the Printable Tool Set, and open selected files into compatible third-party slicer software.
STLFileManager.com provides information, official downloads, verification information, support, and related website services for STL File Manager.
3. Eligibility and Authority
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to accept these Terms. If you use the Services on behalf of a company, school, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
A parent or legal guardian is responsible for a minor’s use of the Services when applicable.
4. Permitted Website Use
Subject to these Terms, 3DPHW grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable permission to access and use STLFileManager.com for lawful informational, support, verification, and download purposes.
You may share ordinary links to public pages on the website. You may not falsely imply that you own, operate, sponsor, represent, or are officially affiliated with 3DPHW or STL File Manager.
Website access does not transfer ownership of any website content, branding, software, designs, files, or intellectual property.
5. STL File Manager App License
Subject to these Terms, 3DPHW grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use an official unmodified copy of STL File Manager for lawful personal use or internal business use on supported Windows computers.
The application is licensed, not sold. 3DPHW and its licensors retain all rights not expressly granted.
Unless 3DPHW gives written permission or applicable law expressly permits the activity despite this restriction, you may not:
- Copy, republish, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the application or installer.
- Rehost the installer as an unofficial download or package it with unrelated software, advertising, installers, wrappers, or download managers.
- Modify the installer or distribute a modified build as though it were an official 3DPHW release.
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark, attribution, verification, or ownership notices.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code, encryption material, access controls, or protected content, except to the limited extent such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Bypass licensing, activation, download, update, access, encryption, rate-limit, or security systems.
You may direct others to an official 3DPHW-operated download page rather than redistributing the installer yourself.
6. My STL Library and Personal Files
My STL Library allows you to select a folder containing supported files stored on your computer.
You retain ownership of your personal files. Selecting a folder does not transfer ownership of those files to 3DPHW.
STL File Manager is designed to browse, preview, and open supported personal files. It is not intended to delete, rename, move, synchronize, upload, update, or overwrite personal My STL Library files.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of important files and for confirming that any file you open, print, modify, or share is lawful and safe to use.
3DPHW is not responsible for loss caused by unrelated hardware failure, operating-system failure, storage failure, malware, third-party software, user action, file corruption, or the absence of an adequate backup.
7. Printable Tool Set
The Printable Tool Set is a separately offered collection of 3D-printable files and related content published by 3DPHW. It is not included merely because STL File Manager itself is available without charge.
Free Sample Tools may be made available through the app. Access to the complete Printable Tool Set may require a valid purchase, license key, activation, or other authorization.
Printable Tool Set files remain subject to their applicable purchase, license, and permitted-use terms. Nothing in these Terms grants ownership of, unrestricted redistribution rights to, or commercial resale rights in the Printable Tool Set.
You may not share license keys, bypass device-binding restrictions, distribute paid files, publish paid files, or provide unauthorized access to protected content.
8. Official Downloads and Verification
For the safest download experience, obtain STL File Manager only from an official website operated by 3DPHW, including:
- STLFileManager.com
- 3DPrintedHardware.com
- PrintableTools.com
3DPHW may publish a SHA-256 checksum or other verification information for the current installer. You are encouraged to compare the downloaded file with the official checksum before installation.
3DPHW does not control and is not responsible for modified, repackaged, outdated, corrupted, or malicious copies obtained from unauthorized third parties.
The installer may trigger warnings from Windows, browsers, antivirus products, network filters, or hosting scanners. A warning alone does not establish whether a file is safe or unsafe. Verify the source and compare the file’s SHA-256 checksum with the official value.
Download systems may enforce file-access controls, request limits, temporary blocks, or other anti-abuse measures.
9. Updates, Changes, and Availability
3DPHW may provide application updates, managed Printable Tool Set updates, security changes, corrected files, replacement installers, or other service changes.
Features, supported file types, supported Windows versions, download methods, licensing requirements, and service availability may change over time.
Updates may add, modify, overwrite, replace, rename, or remove managed application or Printable Tool Set content when necessary. Managed update operations are separate from My STL Library and are not intended to update or remove personal My STL Library files.
3DPHW may suspend or discontinue any free feature, download, website page, or service, in whole or in part, at any time. When reasonably practical, important changes may be announced through the website or application.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable law or another person’s rights.
- Upload, transmit, distribute, or introduce malware, destructive code, or harmful content.
- Probe, scan, test, attack, overload, disable, disrupt, or circumvent website or server security.
- Circumvent rate limits, download controls, access restrictions, licensing, activation, or verification.
- Use automated tools to generate excessive requests, scrape the website abusively, or interfere with normal use.
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, mailboxes, databases, files, systems, or administrative interfaces.
- Impersonate 3DPHW, STL File Manager, another person, or another organization.
- Submit false, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or unlawful communications.
- Use the Services to infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, contract, license, or other rights.
- Assist another person in any prohibited activity.
11. Third-Party Software and Services
STL File Manager may open files into third-party slicer software or interact with operating-system features, browsers, security products, file explorers, or other independent software.
Third-party products and websites are controlled by their respective owners and are subject to their own licenses, terms, privacy policies, system requirements, and support practices.
References to third-party software do not necessarily imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation. All third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.
3DPHW does not guarantee that every slicer version, operating-system configuration, graphics driver, file, printer, or third-party service will remain compatible.
12. Communications and Feedback
When you contact 3DPHW, you are responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness, and content of the information you submit. Do not send passwords, payment-card information, complete private credentials, private keys, or unnecessary sensitive information.
If you voluntarily submit suggestions, feature ideas, corrections, or other feedback, you grant 3DPHW a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, adapt, reproduce, and implement that feedback without compensation or obligation to you.
This feedback license does not transfer ownership of your personal files or override the Privacy Policy’s treatment of personal information.
13. Intellectual Property
STL File Manager, the website, source and object code, interfaces, documentation, graphics, icons, branding, logos, text, downloads, Printable Tool Set content, and other materials provided by 3DPHW are owned by or licensed to 3DPHW and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
“3DPHW,” “STL File Manager,” “Printable Tool Set,” and associated branding may not be used in a way that creates confusion about ownership, sponsorship, approval, affiliation, or the source of a product or service.
No right or license is granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise except as expressly stated in these Terms or applicable product-specific terms.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
3DPHW does not warrant that:
- The Services will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Every file will preview or open correctly.
- Every computer, Windows installation, graphics device, driver, slicer, printer, or security product will be compatible.
- Every download, update, message, or network request will complete successfully.
- Defects or security issues will always be corrected immediately.
- The Services will meet every individual requirement or intended use.
You are responsible for evaluating files, print settings, materials, equipment, and intended uses. Do not rely on a printed object, design, or software workflow for a safety-critical, medical, life-support, structural, regulated, or hazardous application without appropriate professional review and testing.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 3DPHW and its owners, personnel, contractors, service providers, licensors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of use, business interruption, replacement costs, or reputational harm arising from or related to the Services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of 3DPHW for claims arising from or related to these Services will not exceed the greater of:
- The amount you paid directly to 3DPHW for the specific Service giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability; or
- One hundred United States dollars (US $100).
These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose, but they do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless 3DPHW and its owners, personnel, contractors, service providers, licensors, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from:
- Your unlawful or unauthorized use of the Services.
- Your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
- Your infringement of another person’s rights.
- Files, content, communications, or materials you submit, distribute, or use.
- Your modification, redistribution, or misrepresentation of the application, installer, or protected content.
This section does not require indemnification for conduct solely caused by 3DPHW where such an obligation would be prohibited by law.
17. Suspension and Termination
3DPHW may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to a Service, download, license, activation, account-related function, or support channel when reasonably necessary to:
- Protect the website, server, Services, or users.
- Investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or security threats.
- Enforce these Terms or product-specific license terms.
- Comply with law, legal process, or service-provider rules.
- Respond to nonpayment, chargebacks, or invalid purchases.
- Discontinue or materially change a Service.
Upon termination of an applicable license, you must stop using protected content and delete copies when required by the applicable license terms.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, restrictions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, governing law, and general provisions.
18. Privacy
The STL File Manager Privacy Policy explains how 3DPHW handles information connected with the website, contact form, downloads, analytics, licensing, activation, and related services.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that information may be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
19. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and disputes arising from or related to the Services are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact 3DPHW and make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally.
Unless applicable law requires another forum, legal actions arising from or related to these Terms or the Services must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Arizona, and each party consents to that court’s jurisdiction.
Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking appropriate temporary or injunctive relief concerning unauthorized access, security threats, or intellectual property.
20. General Terms
Entire Agreement
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable product-specific license or purchase terms form the entire agreement concerning the relevant Services and replace prior discussions concerning the same subject.
Order of Priority
If product-specific terms conflict with these general Terms, the product-specific terms control only for that product and only to the extent of the conflict.
Severability
If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
No Waiver
A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision or any other right.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without written permission from 3DPHW. 3DPHW may assign these Terms in connection with a business transfer, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the Services.
Electronic Communications
You consent to receive notices electronically through the website, application, or email address you provide when electronic notice is appropriate.
Headings
Section headings are provided for convenience and do not limit the meaning of these Terms.
21. Changes to These Terms
3DPHW may update these Terms when Services, features, licensing, technology, providers, business practices, or legal requirements change.
Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be announced through the website or application when reasonably practical.
Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective means the updated Terms apply to subsequent use. If you do not agree to an update, stop using the affected Services.
